Te Mana Estate is a premium wine brand that draws its inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of the Maori people of New Zealand. The name “Te Mana” embodies the essence of power, prestige, and integrity, which are core values reflected in every bottle produced by the estate.

Tasting Note

The wine opens with vibrant notes of cherry, berries, and plum on the nose. Gentle hints of vanilla enhance the front palate, while the mid-palate is juicy, leading to a smooth, sweet finish. The palate’s unique freshness is a result of the free-draining soils at the growing site.

Vinifacation

This is a single vineyard wine made with fruit from our Te Mana vineyard, located at the mouth of the Awatere River. The vines were planted in 2007 and 2013, providing a nice mix of maturity. The fruit was machine harvested in two passes. The picks were fermented separately and then blended together. The early pick contributes acidity and strong Awatere flavors to the wine. The wine was aged in barrels for 12 months to enhance its flavor and character.
